Volunteer Opportunity-Calling Committee Chair

Volunteer Opportunity – Calling Committee Chair

As Chair of the Calling Committee, your role is to coordinate and support the team of volunteer callers who help keep our members informed of upcoming monthly Member Business Meetings and Event/Park shows during the season.  Contact Kathleen at richterkathleen@comcast.net

  • Assign Member Lists
Assign each caller a list of members to contact. Aim for an even distribution whenever possible. There are currently 14 callers.  You’ll receive all the necessary information, current caller lists, instructions and a suggested call script for members meeting reminders (upcoming shows, other info is sent via e-blast.)

  • Send personalized "Caller's List" including suggested script. These are typically sent as an email with an attachment.  Callers should make their calls between Friday and Monday prior to the Tuesday meeting.

  • Reminder Calls:
It’s helpful to call or message each volunteer before the meeting to remind them to check their email for the “Caller’s List.

If you prefer to use your own method for distributing the lists (e.g., direct email, shared folder, printed copies), that’s perfectly fine as long as the callers receive the information in time.
