Sebastian River Art Club's Annual Judged Members Exhibition - Prospectus

Saturday, January 20, 2024 - 10 am to 3 pm

 

WHO  MAY  ENTER: Open to all current (2024 dues) members in good standing of the Sebastian River Art Club. Members may enter up to two pieces of Artwork.  All artwork must be original, less than 3 years old, and the Artwork/or photographic image cannot have won a ribbon from SRAC in the past.  Artwork need not be for sale.  Please mark the Sales Price on the entry forms as NFS (not for sale) if the artwork is not for sale.

 

ENTRY FEE: $10.00 for up to two entries per artist

 

FRAMING: Paintings on canvas must be framed or gallery-wrapped with at least 3/4" wrap around and painted on all 4 sides. No staples. Frames must be in new condition and have wire and D-Rings for hanging. NO SAWTOOTH HANGERS

LOCATION: SRAC Gallery, 1245 Main Street, Sebastian, FL 32958

 

APPLICATION AND FEE DUE DATE: Application and entry fee are due by Noon on Friday,  January 19, 2024

 

SIZE: Artists' whose 2D work is wider than 36" must provide their own easel for display as it is too large for our panels.

 

3D - 3 Dimensional work will be placed on a skirted table, unless the artist supplies a substantial pedestal base.

OUTSIDE TENTS: Members are invited to set up tents outside for the duration of the show to sell other original artwork, prints, cards, etc. The fee for tent space is $10.00 for Artists and Crafters.  Sign up for  tent space rental at the January  Business Meeting or anytime during regular club hours, Tuesdays and Thursdays 11-3.

 

ART  INTAKE: Thursday, January 18  from 11-3 and Friday: January 19  from 10am to Noon. 

 

ART  PICKUP: Saturday, January 20th  3:00 PM  at the closing of the show.

 

RECEPTION: Lite Refreshments will be available during the show.

 

AWARDS: Best of Show, People’s Choice,  and 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Ribbons in the following categories: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, 3D, Mixed Media, Drawing, Photography and Other. Under-represented mediums (less than 5 entries in a category) will be combined together in the "Other" Category.

 

SRAC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ENTRIES THEY DEEM UNSUITABLE, INAPPROPRIATE, POORLY PRESENTED OR DAMAGED.

 

LIABILITY: SRAC does not accept liability for loss or damage to Artwork submitted. We do make our best effort to protect your artwork.

 

SALES TAX: TAX AND COMMISSION: All submitting artists whose artwork is for sale must have a valid Florida Sales Tax License to participate.  SRAC will not be responsible for collecting the 7% sales tax. The tax is to be built into your price. 10% of sales will go to the SRAC. All artists are responsible for collecting, filing, and paying state sales tax on any sales.  If the Artwork is not for sale, no Florida Sales Tax License is needed to participate.
