Little Gems

The Little Gems program was founded in 2012 as a yearly philanthropic effort to raise funds for the Ecumenical Council Food Pantry.  The Food Pantry uses this monetary gift to provide Christmas meals to local folks in need.

Sebastian River Art Club (SRAC) artists work all year painting small canvases which will be sold for the fundraiser.  Some of the canvases are so beautiful, and the need is so great, that the prices are raised for certain canvases that command better returns.  They are presented with clear hang-tabs to convert as Christmas Tree ornaments, or they can be used as table art.  These original works of art are perfect for gift-giving or as a hostess gift during the busy social season.

Canvases are sold all year, however, in November we have an Opening Reception whereby most of the money is raised for the Food Pantry.  One hundred percent (100%) of all proceeds are donated to this cause, and our members gladly donate their time and talents to "pay it forward."

North End Library Christmas Window

Currently chaired by long-time member Kathleen Richter, the SRAC has for years been honored to design this window-case for the Library in Sebastian.  Many hands help to get this done, and it is always a favorite for local children.

The design is based on a Christmas book that can be found in the library, and we members are proud to be represented this way year after year.  And, the library loves it!

Display Cabinet

Each April the Sebastian River Art Club decorates a five-shelved display cabinet with works and/or information from the Club. This is created by Peni Baker.  The display cabinet featured many of the amenities of the Sebastian River Art Club, and member, Peni Baker, put her best marketing and graphic skills to work creating a wonderful representation of the Club.
