Entering a Show
Members' works are juried in during our Business Meetings. New member must bring in 3 samples of his/her work, framed and ready to hang. Frame and hardware must be properly affixed, and in new condition.
For shows and events that are charity-related, the SRAC high standards still apply: if a frame is involved it must be securely affixed and in new condition. Quality control for donations still apply, so members are expected to put their best efforts forward in creating works that will be sold for charity.

Beautiful Lagoon Fine Art Show
The First Annual Beautiful Lagoon Fine Art Show was held at SRAC's Art Center, 1245 Main Street in Sebastian, on March 18th and 19th, 2017. Conceived, organized and launched within 2 months, it was a monumental feat that took over 60 volunteers from our 165-member club to produce.
Partnered with the Indian River National Lagoon Estruary Program, the theme was all about the Lagoon, and so the art was Lagoon-related. We made great efforts to help the Lagoon Council raise more awareness of the Lagoon's plight, and also cut them a nice check in the process, as a percentage of sales were donated to that worthy cause.
From 9:00 pm Friday night, until opening the doors Saturday at 4:00, dozens of volunteers erected and arranged 44 display panels, set up tables, hung and arranged the works to be judged, and a myriad of other duties needed to put on such a show. Meanwhile the quilt club hung their beautiful quilts as an exciting backdrop to our show. Other volunteers set up the food, and competed tasks that this writer can't even remember. It was a miracle that turned into being the most successful show the Club has ever put on. It was a classically arranged and presented exhibition that resulted in lots of visitors, lots of sales, lots of good food, and lots of great art. Therefore, we are presenting the "Second Annual Beautiful Lagoon Fine Art Show."
