Upcoming Indian River Bird and Nature art show

October 11-13, 2019

  • Artists - Application for the 2019 PIPS Indian River Nature and Bird Art Show

  • Applications due by October 4th

  • Art due on Friday, October 11th between 9:00 and 12:00

  • Have Art Piece ready to hang

  • Plein Air artist will paint Friday at either the Sebastian River Art Club area (on the river) or at the Pelican Island Refuge off AIA.

  • Art is due by 5:00 pm and ready to hang.

  • There will be a reception for the art show Friday evening 6:00 - 8:00 pm.

  • Winners will be announced at the reception

 

 

 

 

 

The 4th Indian River Bird and Nature art show

held the end of National Wildlife Refuge Week

During the 4th annual show was a Florida Scrub Jay tour with Jane Schnee and a keynote speech with Missi Hatfield, a past Pelican Island Wildlife Refuge director

Sebastian River Art Club (SRAC) was the hosting site this year. There were 100 entries in 4 areas: 2 Dimensional, 3 Dimensional, Photography & Plein Air; 35 more than in years past.

Pelican Island Preservation Society (PIPS) is the recipient of the funds which amounted to a gross of $2100. Two major pieces sold of which the organization receives 25% and the SRCA receives 5%. The partnership with the SRAC has turned out to be awesome. We hope to continue this partnership in years to come.
