President's Letter - January 2021

 

 

New Year  -- New Resolutions!

Last year is finally over and we can move on and try to improve our situation.

I’d like to thank the outgoing board members: Richard Gillmor, Vicky Lada, and Darlene Kratovel for all their hard work and commitment to our club, especially during this turbulent time.

 
The Board is looking forward to the upcoming season:
Our Park Shows – January 30th, February 27th, April 3 and our Beautiful Lagoon Show April 24th.
The SRAC Members Juried Show will be at our Art Center on Main Street on February 13 & 14.

As the new year begins, I would like to reach out to each of our members and remind you that being creative really stimulates us, both mentally and physically. While we are being creative, we are not thinking about anything negative. Let’s all reach a little outside of our comfort zone and try something new.

Classes have resumed in a safe environment. We would love to have members do a workshop or demo in any art related area: fabric art, jewelry, mosaics, charcoal, etc. If you have a friend who is talented in something you admire, invite them to contact me at djwares@gmail.com with information and maybe we can all benefit from their artistic skills.
