Presents our 7th Annual Beautiful Lagoon Art Show

 April 20th, 2024

        As part of the City of Sebastian’s Earth Day Celebrations in 

Riverview Park, Sebastian FL

 

Applications are due no later than Close of Business on Tuesday, April 16th.

ARTWORK DROP OFF AND PICK UP:  Show Hours for this City-Wide show are 9am to 4 pm

Artists are responsible for getting their artwork to the Park, Saturday, April 20 between 7:45am and 8:30am for both the Lagoon Show and the Centennial Exhibit. (pick up is at 4:00pm PROMPTLY).

We are hoping to have runners with carts on Harrison Street to help those that need it.

 

AWARDS:

People’s Choice Awards as voted on by Show Attendees.  Ribbons and Cash prizes for First and Second Place People’s Choice Awards.  Voting for “People’s Choice” will close promptly at 2:30 pm on the day of the show to allow adequate time for counting the votes.

 

EXHIBIT RULES

1.  Artwork must be THE ORIGINAL WORK OF THE ARTIST, LAGOON RELATED, NATURE INSPIRED, LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD, FRAMED AND WIRED APPROPRIATELY using D-Rings and Wire – NO SAWTOOTH HANGERS.  Artwork must be for sale.  Sebastian River Art Club Reserves the right to reject any artwork not meeting the above specifications.

 

2.  Categories:  All categories are welcome, including 3D (if submitting 3D, the artist must bring an appropriate stand on which to display the 3D piece of Artwork.

 

3.  A 20% commission will be deducted from the sale of any artwork, to go to SRAC and The Friends of St. Sebastian River.

 

4.  Entry Fee:  $15.00 for up to two entries.

 

HOW TO ENTER:

 

1.  By Mail:  Send one copy of the attached entry slip(s) along with a check payable to Sebastian River Art Club and mail to 1245 Main Street, Sebastian FL 32958.  Attention:  Lagoon Show.  Attach the other copy to the back of your artwork.  Please ensure that your entry reaches the club by April 16.

 

2.  In Person:  entry fees and labels will  be accepted anytime the Art Club is open until the close of business on Tuesday, April 16.  Regular Business Hours are 11-3, Tuesdays and Thursdays and 12-3 most Saturdays.

 

3.  At the Art Club General Business Meeting on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 10am.

 

SIZE RESTRICTIONS:  48” on any one side, including frame.  Gallery wrapped canvases should be 1 ¼ “ deep.  SRAC reserves the right to reject any improperly presented works and does not assume liability for loss or damage.

 

LIABILITY:  Show organizers will make every effort to protect exhibited art, but cannot accept liability for loss or damage.

 

Artists entering the exhibit acknowledge and accept the above liability statement as well as the show rules stated above as a condition or entry by signing the entry label forms.
